Basketball fans consider Teka, PORTINOX’s parent company, the most outstanding brand over the past year
The annual awards organized by the magazine “Gigantes del Basket”, reflect the opinion of thousands of supporters who, through their individual votes, have placed the brand as the most important of the year.
Mr. Arturo Baldasano, president of Teka Industrial and PORTINOX, collected the award from a legend of European basketball: Mr. Emiliano Rodríguez, honorary president of Real Madrid Basketball. In an auditorium full with familiar faces from sports, Mr. Baldasano thanked the award noting that for Teka, “sport and its values have become a hallmark of Group”. He also recalled the words that Mr. Florentino Perez, president of Real Madrid dedicated to Teka when signing the collaboration agreement, calling Teka “the talisman sponsor” of the club.
Real Madrid Basketball won in 2014-2015 season all possible titles in competition: Spain Super Cup, Copa del Rey, Euroleague, ACB and finally Intercontinental Cup. Never before has the club had won five titles in a year.
In addition, the fact that Real Madrid came back to win the European Cup 20 years later is given. At that time the main sponsor of the team was also Teka.
